FF- Dutch magazine sharing - Reading a magazine which is a month old?

Every other Friday I tell you one of my ‘Fuck-ups’. Hopefully, this saves you from some super awkward and embarrassing moments.

I am not sure if I should be embarrassed writing about this, but ‘why not’ write about it. However, I would like to know. Should I be embarrassed about this? Or is it just ‘sustainable’? I would like to hear from you guys (as expats) if this is happening in your home country as well.

Okay, so first of all, I know magazines are not so popular anymore. Nowadays, you can find everything on the internet. I have to say, I still like browsing through a magazine. If I go on holiday, I either ask a friend (or my mom) if they have a magazine or I buy one (for instance at the airport).

However, my mom (and I love her a lot) really takes this to the next level. They have this kind of neighbourhood magazine exchange system. They all have a different magazine subscription in the street and put it in each others mailbox with or the name of the next person which would like to read the magazine or if you can keep the magazine. In that case, it will say ‘hoeft niet terug’ meaning doesn’t have to be returned’...

I do have to say... I am always very happy with my ‘Psychologie magazine’!

Wat vinden jullie hiervan? (What do you guys think about this?)
