FF - When you know spring ‘officially started’ in the Netherlands

Every other Friday I tell you one of my ‘Fuck-ups’. Hopefully, this saves you from some super awkward and embarrassing moments.

Living as an expat in the Netherlands has pros and cons, the weather is most definitely not one of the pros. Since the weather can be cold, rainy and we are cycling everywhere we often have to be well covered up.

Except for that first day of spring (which is sadly sometimes during summer). It is the first day that it is above 20 °C, everybody is outside and happy… and what?

It seems like ‘all women are wearing skirts’!

No, you are not the first one noticing this and no, it hasn’t been a huge social media blast. Woman in the Netherlands are just so happy that the rainy cold weather is over (however, you never know maybe it just lasts 1 day). The Dutch are so obsessed with ‘Rokjesdag’… we even made a movie about it 😱

Why is this in my FF? I missed ‘rokjesdag’ this year...Hopefully global warming is not affecting ‘rokjesdag’  too 😱
